Interview with the Vampire season 2 trailer 🌠
Wasn’t barbieheimer that guy in the social network and call me by your name
“i hate the neverending sky” is such a raw line that you could imagine being in a poetic work or art movie but actually it’s said by a grouchy scotsman with heart issues trying to solve a murder
being in your early twenties is like [grocery shopping alone] [having instant noodles for dinner] [remembering random details about that one friend you haven’t spoken to in five years] [feeling overwhelming guilt for every purchase that isn’t strictly “necessary”] [having midday naps] [finding out through facebook that the girl who was mean to you in high school has a husband and a baby] [falling a little in love with every stranger on public transport] [pretending you’re not afraid of being alone] [wondering when you’ll feel like a fully realized person] [listening to bands you liked in middle school] [blinking and it’s suddenly december] [failing to imagine yourself ten years from now] [feeling like you’re running out of time]
“Garlic is divine. Few food items can taste so many distinct ways, handled correctly. Misuse of garlic is a crime. Old garlic, burnt garlic, garlic cut too long ago and garlic that has been tragically smashed through one of those abominations, the garlic press, are all disgusting. Please, treat your garlic with respect. Sliver it for pasta, like you saw in Goodfellas; don’t burn it. Smash it with the flat of your knife blade if you like, but don’t put it through a press. I don’t know what that junk is that squeezes out of the end of those things, but it ain’t garlic. And try roasting garlic. It gets mellower and sweeter if you roast it whole, still on the clove, to be squeezed out later when it’s soft and brown. Try a Caesar dressing, for instance, with a mix of fresh, raw garlic for bite, and roasted for background, and you’ll see what I mean. Nothing will permeate your food more irrevocably and irreparably than burnt or rancid garlic. Avoid at all costs that vile spew you see rotting in oil in screw-top jars. Too lazy to peel fresh? You don’t deserve to eat garlic.”
- Anthony Bourdain, Kitchen Confidential
i think this pretty much sums it up.
i could go more in depth, but i’m not going to
I had some additions
i had some additions of my own to make
I STEPPED OUTSIDE OF THE FRONT DOOR OF MY OWN HOME ONLY TO FIND THE DEER THAT TRIED TO KICK MY ASS LAST YEAR STANDING RIGHT THERE IN MY FRONT YARD. BOLD AS BRASS.
AM I NOT SAFE ANYWHERE ANYMORE
for those of you who were not here last year: this deer is the most obnoxious, unnatural red-orange color I’ve ever seen, only appears when it’s raining, and once chased me a quarter mile through the woods. her name is Hot Cheeto Hatred and she is my nemesis
dude, i think that’s a fairy
Logan being sent away by his uncle to get “fixed” and doing the same to his son. Yes. But Logan kept sending Roman away. To military school, to college (presumably), to L.A.; and everytime he didn’t come back magically “normal” but still himself.
And what a super cool coincidence it was that he sent him to the other side of the world to do a deal with Eduard right when hearings about sexual abuse in cruises happened. Why did you do that Logan? Whyever did you do that.
use, and i cannot stress this enough, thriftbooks
if thriftbooks doesn’t have what you’re looking for, especially if you’re looking for it used/cheap, alternatives include betterworldbooks and discoverbooks.
Other tips for cheaper books is checking amazon and scrolling down to the “buy used” or “other sellers” section and then checking to see if those sellers have storerfonts off of amazon.
There is also a good chance that you might have a local, indie book store that likely also has a used book section! Indiebound might help you find those book stores!
Also, check out your local library, sometimes, they have a for sale section or might have certain times of the year where they do massive used book (dvd, cd, etc) sales to fundraise!
(It’s also worth checking directly from an author’s or publisher’s page and seeing if they have other places they sell their books. I know this is about cheaper/used books, since some of y’all aren’t built for piracy or the library, but also if you want to dodge supporting amazon AND want to more directly support artists you support, there’s a good chance they might have alternate ways to buy the books!)
I use thriftbooks a lot, it’s so good!
Thriftbooks having a rewards systems also gets free books which is always a plus for episodes of bibliomania xD
You can also go to https://www.bookfinder.com/ and get prices/links for a bunch of different sellers at once. You can search by title, author, or ISBN, and filter your results by the country you want it shipped to.

Roman Roy is one of the most compeling queer characters I have ever seen BECAUSE everyone, first and foremost Kieran, is invested in the ambiguity of whatever is going on with him. I feel like you don’t get to see the mess of it all (repression, deviance, abuse/probably csa) mixed with expressions of sexuality or sexual identity. Queer characters, very often i find, will be sort of evened out as to not sully a label or be ‘bad representstion’ righ now. But so much of queerness is this mess, this not really knowing and it all bubbling up and out in odd ways. Roman’s got this loud and bendy little body, he can’t piss infront of men for 'we don’t know what reason’, he can’t have sex with his girlfriends, but degredation and taboo turn him on, he does want companionship and love, he will eminate pure magnitism towards other male characters, he’ll say incestous shit to his sister, he’ll have the biggest scared eyes in front of his dad and he’ll say the vilest shit to anyone who’ll listen. And everyone knows there is something wrong with Roman, especially Roman. And that is exactly what being queer feels like. There is a reason Roman was the only one Logan hit.
